Bacha Khan
Bacha Khan, also known as Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, was a prominent Indian independence activist and a key figure in the Indian freedom struggle against British rule. Born on February 6, 1890, in Peshawar, he was a strong advocate for non-violence and social reform, promoting education and unity among the Pashtun people. He founded the Khilafat Movement and the Khilafat Committee to support the cause of Indian independence.
Bacha Khan was deeply influenced by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and worked closely with him to promote non-violent resistance. He established the Servants of the People Society and played a significant role in mobilizing the Pashtun community for the independence movement. His efforts earned him the title "Frontier Gandhi," and he remains a celebrated figure in Pakistan and India for his commitment to peace and justice.
