The original list, known as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
In modern times, a new list called the New Seven Wonders of the World was created through a global poll. This list features the Great Wall of China, Petra in Jordan, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the Machu Picchu in Peru, the Chichen Itza in Mexico, the Roman Colosseum in Italy, and the Taj Mahal in India.
