Muhammad al-Tabari
Muhammad al-Tabari was a prominent Persian historian and scholar born in 838 CE. He is best known for his comprehensive work, the History of Prophets and Kings, which chronicles the history of the world from creation to his own time. Al-Tabari's writings are significant for their detailed accounts of Islamic history and early Islamic civilization.
In addition to history, al-Tabari made substantial contributions to Islamic jurisprudence and exegesis of the Quran.
