Constance of Arles
Constance of Arles was a medieval queen, born around 1124, who became the wife of King Louis VI of France. She was the daughter of Count Raymond IV of Toulouse and Constance of France, which linked her to significant noble families. Constance played a crucial role in the political landscape of her time, particularly in strengthening alliances through marriage.
After the death of Louis VI in 1137, Constance's influence continued as her son, Louis VII, ascended to the throne. She was known for her piety and support of the church, contributing to various religious institutions during her lifetime. Constance passed away in 1160.
