Baldwin IV of Jerusalem
Baldwin IV of Jerusalem was a medieval king who ruled from 1174 to 1185. He became king at a young age after the death of his father, Amalric I of Jerusalem. Baldwin IV is notable for his struggle against the Muslim forces led by Saladin, particularly during the Crusades.
Despite his royal status, Baldwin IV suffered from leprosy, which affected his health and ability to govern. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and external threats, but he is remembered for his bravery and determination to defend his kingdom. Baldwin IV died at the age of 24, leaving a complex legacy.
