Constance of France
Constance of France was a medieval noblewoman born around 1150. She was the daughter of Louis VII of France and Eleanor of Aquitaine. Constance became the Duchess of Brittany through her marriage to Geoffrey Plantagenet, the son of Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. This union helped strengthen ties between the French crown and the Duchy of Brittany.
Constance played a significant role in the political landscape of her time. After her husband's death in 1186, she became the regent for their son, Arthur of Brittany. Her influence was crucial in the ongoing conflicts between the French and English crowns during the late 12th century.
