{Saxe-Weimar
Saxe-Weimar was a historical principality in Germany, part of the larger region of Thuringia. It existed from the early 19th century until the end of World War I in 1918. The principality was known for its cultural contributions, particularly in literature and the arts, and was home to notable figures such as the writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and the composer Richard Wagner.
The capital of Saxe-Weimar was the city of Weimar, which became a center for the Weimar Classicism movement. This period was marked by a flourishing of intellectual and artistic activity, influencing German culture significantly. After the war, the principality was dissolved, and its territory became part of the newly formed Free State of Thuringia.
