Types of Breads
There are many types of breads, each with unique ingredients and preparation methods. Common varieties include white bread, made from refined flour, and whole grain bread, which uses whole wheat flour for added nutrients. Other popular types are sourdough, known for its tangy flavor due to fermentation, and rye bread, which is denser and has a distinct taste.
Flatbreads, such as pita and naan, are unleavened and often cooked quickly at high temperatures. Sweet breads, like banana bread and challah, incorporate sugars and sometimes fruits or nuts. Each type of bread serves different culinary purposes and cultural traditions.
