Tahuantinsuyu
Tahuantinsuyu was the name of the vast empire established by the Inca civilization in South America, primarily during the 15th and early 16th centuries. It stretched across modern-day Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and parts of Chile and Argentina. The empire was known for its advanced agricultural techniques, impressive architecture, and extensive road systems that facilitated communication and trade.
The term "Tahuantinsuyu" translates to "the four regions," referring to the four main areas of the empire: Chinchaysuyu (north), Antisuyu (east), Kuntisuyu (south), and Collasuyu (west). The capital city was Cusco, which served as the political and cultural heart of the empire, showcasing the Inca's remarkable engineering and organizational skills.
