Palestinian Refugees
Palestinian refugees are individuals who were displaced from their homes during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and subsequent conflicts. Many fled to neighboring countries, such as Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, while others became internally displaced within the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was established to provide assistance and support to these refugees.
Today, there are millions of Palestinian refugees and their descendants, many of whom still live in refugee camps. They face various challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. The status and rights of Palestinian refugees remain a significant issue in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
