UNRWA
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is a UN agency established in 1949 to provide assistance and protection to Palestinian refugees. It was created in response to the displacement caused by the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict and aims to support the well-being and development of these communities.
UNRWA offers various services, including education, healthcare, and social services, primarily in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. The agency relies on voluntary contributions from UN member states and other donors to fund its programs and initiatives.
