Natural Gums
Natural gums are substances obtained from plants, often used as thickening agents, stabilizers, or emulsifiers in various products. They are derived from the sap or resin of trees and shrubs, such as acacia and guar, and are valued for their ability to form gels and improve texture in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
These gums are considered safe for consumption and are often preferred over synthetic alternatives due to their natural origin. Common examples include xanthan gum, used in gluten-free baking, and gum arabic, which is used in soft drinks and candies.
