Louis, Duke of Burgundy
Louis, Duke of Burgundy (1682-1712), was a French nobleman and a member of the House of Bourbon. He was the son of Louis, Grand Dauphin and the grandson of King Louis XIV of France. As the heir to the French throne, he played a significant role in the politics of his time, particularly during the War of the Spanish Succession.
Louis married Marie-Adélaïde of Savoy, which strengthened alliances between France and Savoy. His early death at the age of 29 left a significant impact on the French royal lineage, as he was a key figure in the succession plans of the Bourbon dynasty.
