Cupping
Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is believed to help improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. Cupping can be performed using glass, bamboo, or silicone cups, and it is often used in conjunction with other treatments in practices like Traditional Chinese Medicine.
There are two main types of cupping: dry cupping, which uses suction only, and wet cupping, which involves small incisions on the skin to draw out a small amount of blood. Many athletes and individuals seek cupping for muscle recovery and pain relief, although scientific evidence on its effectiveness is still limited.
