Al-Muizz li-Din Allah
Al-Muizz li-Din Allah was the fourth caliph of the Fatimid Caliphate, ruling from 953 to 975 CE. He is known for consolidating the Fatimid power in North Africa and establishing Cairo as the capital of the caliphate. His reign marked a period of cultural and economic prosperity, as he promoted trade and the arts.
Under Al-Muizz li-Din Allah, the Fatimid Caliphate expanded its territory, including parts of Sicily and Syria. He was also notable for his religious tolerance, allowing various faiths to coexist. His leadership helped to strengthen the influence of the Ismaili branch of Shia Islam.
