Western Numidia
Western Numidia was an ancient region located in North Africa, primarily in what is now Algeria. It was inhabited by the Numidians, a Berber people known for their cavalry and skilled horsemen. The region played a significant role in the conflicts between the Roman Republic and the Carthaginian Empire during the Punic Wars.
The area was characterized by its diverse geography, including mountains and plains, which supported agriculture and livestock. Western Numidia became a client kingdom of Rome after the defeat of Carthage, contributing to the spread of Roman culture and influence in North Africa.
