Numidians
The Numidians were an ancient people who lived in the region of North Africa, primarily in what is now Algeria and Tunisia. They were known for their skilled horsemen and played a significant role in the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage. Their society was organized into various tribes, each with its own leader.
Numidia was eventually united under the rule of Masinissa, who became an ally of the Romans. The Numidians contributed to military tactics and cavalry techniques that influenced Roman warfare. Their culture was a blend of indigenous traditions and influences from neighboring civilizations, including the Phoenicians and Greeks.
