Eastern Numidia
Eastern Numidia was an ancient region located in North Africa, primarily in what is now Algeria. It was known for its diverse landscapes, including mountains and fertile plains, which supported agriculture and livestock. The area was inhabited by the Numidians, a Berber people who were skilled horsemen and played a significant role in the history of the Mediterranean.
During the Roman Republic and later the Roman Empire, Eastern Numidia became an important territory. It was often involved in conflicts, particularly during the Jugurthine War, which highlighted the region's strategic significance. The area eventually became part of the Roman province of Africa.
