Western Jin
The Western Jin was a Chinese dynasty that lasted from 265 to 316 AD. It was established by the Sima family after the fall of the Cao Wei state during the Three Kingdoms period. The dynasty is known for its attempts to unify China and restore stability after years of conflict.
During its reign, the Western Jin faced internal strife, including power struggles and corruption, which weakened its authority. The dynasty ultimately fell due to invasions by the Xiongnu and other nomadic tribes, leading to the establishment of the Eastern Jin and the fragmentation of China into the Sixteen Kingdoms.
