Sima Yi
Sima Yi was a prominent military strategist and politician during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the early Three Kingdoms period in ancient China. Born in 179 AD, he initially served under the warlord Cao Cao and later became a key figure in the Cao Wei state. Sima Yi is best known for his cunning tactics and ability to outmaneuver his opponents, particularly during the power struggles of the time.
In 249 AD, Sima Yi staged a coup against Cao Shuang, consolidating power within the Wei state. His descendants, notably Sima Zhao and Sima Yan, eventually established the Jin dynasty, marking the end of the Three Kingdoms period. Sima Yi's legacy is often associated with his strategic brilliance and political acumen.
