Welsh history
Welsh history is rich and diverse, beginning with the arrival of the Celts around 600 BC. The region became known for its distinct culture and language, with the Welsh language still spoken today. Over the centuries, Wales faced invasions and conflicts, notably with the Romans and later the Normans, who built many castles to control the land.
In the 13th century, Prince Llywelyn the Great united various Welsh kingdoms, but Wales eventually fell under English rule. The Laws in Wales Acts of the 1530s integrated Wales into the Kingdom of England, leading to significant cultural and political changes. Today, Wales celebrates its unique heritage and identity.
