Tea Plant
The tea plant, scientifically known as *Camellia sinensis*, is a small evergreen shrub native to East Asia. It thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, typically at higher elevations. The leaves of the tea plant are harvested to produce various types of tea, including green tea, black tea, and oolong tea, depending on the processing methods used.
Tea plants can grow up to 30 feet tall in the wild, but they are usually pruned to about 3 feet for easier harvesting. The leaves are rich in antioxidants and have been consumed for centuries for their potential health benefits. Cultivation of the tea plant is a significant agricultural practice in countries like China, India, and Sri Lanka.
