Tallán
The Tallán are an indigenous people from the northern coast of Peru, primarily located in the Piura region. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, which includes traditional crafts, music, and dance. Historically, the Tallán were skilled agriculturalists, cultivating crops such as maize and cotton.
Today, the Tallán community continues to preserve their customs and language, which is part of the larger Chibchan language family. Efforts are being made to promote their cultural identity and address social issues, including access to education and healthcare, ensuring the survival of their traditions for future generations.
