Tallán Language
The Tallán language is an indigenous language spoken by the Tallán people in the northern region of Peru. It belongs to the Chibchan language family and is primarily used in the Loreto department. The language has faced significant decline due to the influence of Spanish and the migration of Tallán speakers to urban areas.
Efforts are being made to revitalize the Tallán language through educational programs and community initiatives. Linguists and cultural organizations are working to document the language and promote its use among younger generations, aiming to preserve the unique cultural heritage of the Tallán people.
