Sheshonq I
Sheshonq I was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who ruled during the 22nd Dynasty, around 945 to 924 BCE. He is known for founding the Libyan Dynasty, which marked a significant period in Egyptian history. Sheshonq I is often recognized for his military campaigns and efforts to restore the power of Egypt after a time of decline.
He is also famous for his monumental building projects, including temples and monuments dedicated to the gods. One of his notable achievements was the conquest of parts of Israel and Judah, which is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. His reign is considered a time of relative stability and prosperity in ancient Egypt.
