Saeb Erekat
Saeb Erekat was a prominent Palestinian politician and negotiator, known for his role in the peace process between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. Born on April 28, 1955, in Jericho, he served as the chief negotiator for the Palestinians during key negotiations, including the Oslo Accords in the 1990s.
Erekat was also a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and held various positions within the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). He was recognized for his advocacy for a two-state solution and worked tirelessly to promote Palestinian rights on the international stage until his passing in November 2020.
