Oslo Accords
The Oslo Accords are a series of agreements made in the 1990s between the State of Israel and the Palest Liberation Organization (PLO). These agreements aimed to establish a framework for peace and the eventual creation of a Palestinian state. The first accord was signed in 1993, marking the first time both parties officially recognized each other.
The accords included provisions for Palestinian self-governance in parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They also set up a timeline for further negotiations on key issues such as borders, security, and the status of Jerusalem.
