Running Track
A running track is a specially designed surface for athletes to run on, typically found in sports facilities and schools. It is usually oval-shaped, with two straight sections and two curved sections, allowing for efficient running. Tracks are often made of materials like synthetic rubber or asphalt, providing a smooth and durable surface that reduces the risk of injury.
Most running tracks have marked lanes, usually eight or more, to keep runners in their designated paths during races. They are used for various events, including sprints, middle-distance, and long-distance races, as well as for training purposes. Tracks may also feature a field area for other sports, such as long jump and shot put.
