Roman Kings
"Roman Kings" refers to the period of ancient Roman history when the city was ruled by a series of monarchs, traditionally believed to be seven in total. This era, known as the Roman Kingdom, lasted from its legendary founding in 753 BC until the establishment of the Roman Republic in 509 BC. The kings were responsible for various aspects of governance, including military leadership, religious duties, and the administration of justice.
The most notable of these kings include Romulus, the legendary founder of Rome, and Tarquin the Proud, the last king, whose tyranny led to the abolition of the monarchy. Each king contributed to the development of Roman culture, law, and infrastructure, laying the groundwork for the future Roman Empire.
