Queen Blanche of Namur
Queen Blanche of Namur was a medieval noblewoman born around 1320. She was the daughter of John I, Count of Namur and Marie of France. In 1336, she married Philip VI of France, becoming the Queen consort of France. Her marriage helped strengthen the ties between the House of Valois and the County of Namur.
Blanche was known for her piety and charitable works. She had several children, including John II of France, who later became king. After her husband's death in 1350, she took on a more prominent role in the royal court, influencing political matters during her lifetime.
