Queen Beatrice of Portugal
Queen Beatrice of Portugal was a significant historical figure born in 1373. She was the daughter of King Peter I of Portugal and Inês de Castro. Beatrice became queen consort when she married King John I of Portugal in 1387, strengthening the alliance between Portugal and the Kingdom of Castile.
Her reign was marked by political challenges, including the struggle for the Portuguese throne. Beatrice's marriage produced several children, but her legacy is often overshadowed by the conflicts that arose after her husband's death in 1433, leading to the eventual rise of the Aviz dynasty.
