Pepi I
Pepi I was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the Sixth Dynasty, ruling during the Old Kingdom period around 2330-2280 BCE. He is known for his long reign, which lasted approximately 64 years, making him one of the longest-serving rulers in Egyptian history. His reign was marked by significant architectural achievements, including the construction of his pyramid at Saqqara.
Pepi I expanded Egypt's trade networks and strengthened its economy. He also promoted the worship of the god Osiris, which became increasingly important during this time. His legacy continued through his successors, including his son, Pepi II, who would inherit the throne.
