Pea Plants
Pea plants are climbing plants that belong to the Fabaceae family. They are known for their edible seeds, which are commonly used in cooking. Pea plants can grow up to 1.5 meters tall and have tendrils that help them climb. They thrive in cool weather and are often planted in early spring.
These plants produce flowers that can be white, purple, or pink, which eventually develop into pods containing the peas. Pisum sativum is the most common species cultivated for food. Pea plants are also important for soil health, as they can fix nitrogen, enriching the soil for future crops.
