Neurosis
Neurosis is a term used to describe a range of mental health issues characterized by anxiety, depression, and obsessive thoughts. Unlike more severe mental disorders, neurosis does not involve a loss of touch with reality. Individuals with neurosis may experience emotional distress but can still function in daily life.
Common symptoms of neurosis include excessive worry, irritability, and difficulty concentrating. It can be triggered by stress, trauma, or unresolved conflicts. Treatment often involves therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, and sometimes medication to help manage symptoms and improve overall well-being.
