Muhammad IV
Muhammad IV was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687. He ascended to the throne at a young age and is known for his attempts to restore the empire's power after a period of decline. His reign saw military campaigns against the Habsburg Monarchy and the Venetian Republic, as well as efforts to reform the administration.
Despite initial successes, Muhammad IV faced significant challenges, including military defeats and internal strife. His reign ended when he was deposed in a coup, leading to the rise of his brother, Suleiman II. Muhammad IV's legacy is marked by both ambition and turmoil in the empire's history.
