Mas Oyama
Mas Oyama was a renowned Japanese martial artist, best known for founding the style of karate called Kyokushin. Born on July 27, 1923, he began training in martial arts at a young age and later studied under Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan karate. Oyama became famous for his rigorous training methods and his ability to perform incredible feats of strength and skill.
In addition to his martial arts achievements, Oyama was also a skilled competitor. He gained international recognition for his full-contact karate tournaments, which emphasized practical fighting techniques. His legacy continues through the many dojos and practitioners of Kyokushin karate around the world.
