Masutatsu Ōyama
Masutatsu Ōyama was a Japanese martial artist, best known for founding the style of karate called Kyokushin. Born on July 27, 1923, in Korea, he moved to Japan and began training in various martial arts, eventually developing his own philosophy and techniques.
Ōyama gained fame for his rigorous training methods and his ability to perform incredible feats, such as breaking bricks and boards. He also became a popular figure in the martial arts community, promoting karate through competitions and demonstrations, and inspiring many practitioners worldwide. He passed away on April 26, 1994.
