King Edward VI
King Edward VI was the son of King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, born on October 12, 1537. He became king of England at just nine years old after his father's death in 1547. His reign lasted until his death in 1553, making him the first monarch of the Tudor dynasty to rule after his father.
During his short reign, Edward VI was influenced by his regents, who promoted the Protestant Reformation in England. This led to significant religious changes, including the introduction of the Book of Common Prayer. Edward's health declined rapidly, and he died at the age of 15, leaving no heirs.
