King Alexander Obrenović
King Alexander Obrenović was the ruler of Serbia from 1889 until his assassination in 1903. He was born on July 14, 1876, and became king at a young age after the abdication of his father, King Milan Obrenović. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize Serbia and strengthen its military.
Despite his attempts at reform, Alexander faced significant opposition and political turmoil. His rule ended tragically when he and his family were killed in a coup led by the Radical Party. This event marked the end of the Obrenović dynasty and the beginning of a new era in Serbian politics.
