Serbian Revolution
The Serbian Revolution was a series of uprisings that took place in the early 19th century, primarily between 1804 and 1817. It aimed to gain independence from the Ottoman Empire and establish a modern Serbian state. The revolution began with the First Serbian Uprising in 1804, led by Karageorge Petrovic, and continued with the Second Serbian Uprising in 1815, led by Miloš Obrenović.
The revolution resulted in significant territorial and political changes, leading to the establishment of the Principality of Serbia. By the end of the uprisings, Serbia had gained a degree of autonomy, which laid the groundwork for its eventual full independence in the late 19th century.
