Kamoses
Kamoses was an ancient Egyptian figure known for his role as a pharaoh during the Second Intermediate Period. He is often associated with the Hyksos, a group of foreign rulers who controlled parts of Egypt. Kamoses is recognized for his military campaigns aimed at expelling the Hyksos from Egypt, which contributed to the eventual reunification of the country.
His reign is believed to have occurred around the 17th century BCE, although specific dates are uncertain. Kamoses is sometimes depicted in inscriptions and artifacts, showcasing his importance in the struggle for Egyptian sovereignty. His efforts laid the groundwork for future pharaohs, including Ahmose I, who ultimately succeeded in driving out the Hyksos.
