Kōdōha
Kōdōha, or "the Imperial Way," was a faction within the Japanese military during the early 20th century. It emerged in the 1920s and 1930s, advocating for a more aggressive and expansionist foreign policy. Kōdōha members believed in the necessity of military strength to secure Japan's interests and promote its status as a world power.
The Kōdōha faction often clashed with the more moderate Tōseiha, or "Control Faction," which favored a more cautious approach. The rivalry between these two groups significantly influenced Japan's political landscape leading up to and during World War II, ultimately contributing to Japan's militaristic policies and actions during that period.
