Japanese military
The Japanese military, officially known as the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), was established in 1954. It consists of three branches: the Ground Self-Defense Force (GSDF), the Maritime Self-Defense Force (MSDF), and the Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF). The JSDF's primary role is to ensure national security and respond to natural disasters, reflecting Japan's post-World War II pacifist constitution.
The Japanese military operates under strict limitations, focusing on defensive capabilities rather than offensive operations. It collaborates with international allies, particularly the United States, to enhance regional security and participate in peacekeeping missions. The JSDF has modern equipment and technology to address contemporary security challenges.
