Tōseiha
Tōseiha, or "Control Faction," was a political and military group in Japan during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It emerged as a response to the growing influence of the Kōdōha, or "Imperial Way Faction," which advocated for a more aggressive military expansion. Tōseiha favored a more pragmatic approach, focusing on modernization and strengthening Japan's economy and military through industrialization.
The Tōseiha played a significant role in shaping Japan's military policies during the Shōwa era. Its leaders, including figures like Hideki Tojo, sought to balance military ambitions with economic stability. This faction ultimately influenced Japan's actions leading up to and during World War II.
