Joash
Joash, also known as Jehoash, was a king of the ancient kingdom of Judah. He ascended to the throne at a young age, around seven years old, after the death of his father, Ahaziah. His reign is noted for the restoration of the Temple of Solomon and efforts to return the people to the worship of Yahweh.
During his rule, Joash was influenced by the high priest Jehoiada, who guided him in religious reforms. However, after Jehoiada's death, Joash turned away from these reforms, leading to a decline in his reign. Ultimately, he faced rebellion and was assassinated by his own officials.
