Jadonang
Jadonang was a prominent leader and spiritual figure in the early 20th century, known for his role in the Naga independence movement in India. He was born in 1905 in the Naga Hills and became a key advocate for the rights and identity of the Naga people, promoting self-determination and cultural pride.
Jadonang founded the Heraka movement, which aimed to revive traditional Naga customs and beliefs while resisting colonial rule. His efforts inspired many, but he was eventually arrested by the British authorities in 1931. Jadonang's legacy continues to influence Naga nationalism and cultural identity today.
