Rani Gaidinliu
Rani Gaidinliu was a prominent Indian freedom fighter and spiritual leader from the Naga community. Born on January 26, 1915, in Manipur, she played a crucial role in the struggle against British colonial rule. Gaidinliu led a movement for the rights of her people and advocated for their cultural identity, becoming a symbol of resistance.
She was deeply influenced by the teachings of Jadonang, a Naga spiritual leader, and sought to unite her people against oppression. Gaidinliu was arrested in 1932 and spent several years in prison. After her release, she continued to work for the welfare of the Naga people until her death on February 17, 1993.
