Isabelle of France
Isabelle of France was a French princess born in 1292, the daughter of King Philip IV of France and Queen Joan I of Navarre. She became known for her marriage to Edward II of England in 1308, which was intended to strengthen the alliance between France and England.
Isabelle played a significant role in English history, particularly during her husband's reign. She is often remembered for her involvement in the political turmoil of the time, including her return to England in 1326, which led to the overthrow of Edward II and the rise of her son, Edward III.
