Margaret of France
Margaret of France (1283-1318) was a French princess, the daughter of King Philip III of France and Isabella of Aragon. She became the Queen of England by marrying Edward I of England in 1299, strengthening ties between France and England.
Margaret's marriage was significant for political alliances, but she faced challenges, including the death of her husband in 1307. After his death, she returned to France, where she lived until her own passing. Margaret's life reflects the complexities of royal marriages during the medieval period, often driven by political necessity rather than personal choice.
