Isabella of Jerusalem
Isabella of Jerusalem was a queen who lived during the 12th century. Born around 1172, she was the daughter of Alduin of Jerusalem and Maria of Antioch. Isabella became queen after the death of her first husband, Conrad of Montferrat, and later married Henry II of Jerusalem, strengthening her claim to the throne.
Her reign was marked by political challenges and conflicts, particularly with the Muslim forces in the region. Isabella played a crucial role in the Crusader States, navigating alliances and marriages to maintain her kingdom's stability. She died in 1205, leaving a significant legacy in the history of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
